Rules and Regulations
Definition - A quilt is two layers of fabric with a filling that is stitched together with lines or a pattern. Quilting may be done by hand or by machine. Tied quilts, “raggy” quilts or quilts made from predominantly preprinted panels will not be accepted. No stuffed animals, tablecloths, pillow shams or non- quilt items will be accepted.
The quilt show is open to amateur quilters across the Salt Lake Valley. All work must be the quilter’s original work.
A $5 entry fee will be charged per person (not per entry). Limit of two entries per person. Fee is due with quilt drop off. Each quilt will need a separate registration.
Quilt drop off and pick up:
Quilts may be dropped off on Friday, September 22, 2017, at the Gale Center of History and Culture at 10300 S. Beckstead Lane, during the hours of 10:30am – 3:00pm. Quilts must be picked up by Monday, October 2, 2017.
The quilt show is outside and each exhibitor must sign a Release Agreement by the entrant. Any underage exhibitor must have an adult 18 years or older sign for them. These forms must be signed at drop off.
Insurance is the responsibility of the quilter/owner. In the unlikely event that a quilt is damaged or lost, South Jordan City, or the South Jordan Arts Council will not be held responsible.
Prizes will be awarded in these categories:
Youth (17 and under)
Voting for People’s Choice will take place between 8:00am – 12:30pm. Prizes awarded at 1:00pm.
