There are numerous opportunities to volunteer with the City of South Jordan. The City encourages individual, small and larger group volunteer projects throughout the year. Scout projects and especially Eagle projects must be pre-approved before a scout may begin volunteering. The majority of volunteer opportunities occur during the warmer months. However, some cold weather projects may also be available depending on need.
Volunteers may be required to submit a BCI before volunteering can begin.

How to Volunteer
Appointed volunteer opportunities
There are also appointed volunteers who serve on a variety of committees and boards. These volunteers are appointed by the Mayor and City Council. For example, the Historic Preservation Committee, Arts Council, Planning Commission, Youth Council Advisers, and Senior Advisory Committee are comprised of appointed volunteers who have an interest in working with these respective areas of the City.
