South Jordan City Fire Department is hosting a hose cutting ceremony for their newest fire station, 63. This is the City’s third fire station, located at 10451 South 1055 West. Station 63 is a 12,645 sq. foot, two-story building that includes two apparatus bays for a fire engine and ambulance, a training room, community safe haven site, AED, workout facility and can house up to seven firefighters at full capacity. Station 63 will primarily cover the eastern portions of South Jordan City but will be available to respond to any location in the city and surrounding areas as needed.
“This new fire station is a great addition to the city and allows us to provide rapid response and quicker service to the east side of the city. We are very grateful for the generous support of the community for this new fire station,” said South Jordan City Fire Chief, Andy Butler.
