The City of South Jordan offers two locations to dispose prescription medication and medications.

Prescription Medication Disposal – Old medications should never be disposed of down the toilet.

ACCEPTED: Prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, samples, medications for pets, ointments, lotions, liquid medication in glass or leak-proof containers.

NOT ACCEPTED: Needles (Sharps), thermometers, bloody or infectious waste, medication from businesses or clinics, hydrogen peroxide, aerosol cans, inhalers.

Prescription Medication Disposal Locations:
There are two prescription medication disposal drop offs:

South Jordan Police Department Lobby
1600 W. Towne Center Drive (10610 South)

Monday – Thursday 8-6
Friday – 8 – Noon
