The City provides for central management of its fleet. The fleet consists of all City vehicles, motorized equipment, trailers, and mobile generators. Management of the fleet includes equipment acquisition, maintenance, and surplus. Fleet Management is the responsibility of the Fleet Committee, subject to the approval and/or direction of the City Manager. Day-to-day management of the fleet is the responsibility of the Fleet Manager.
The Fleet Division maintains 299 pieces of equipment plus several attachments and mounted equipment, ranging from lawn mowers to heavy rescue aerial fire apparatuses.
The Fleet Division maintains a 24hr on site fueling station with both Diesel and Gasoline.
There are 5 staff members for the Fleet Division. 1 Fleet Manager, 1 Fleet Assistant, and 3 full time Mechanics.
