Dear South Jordan Residents:

Please accept my personal invitation to join with friends and neighbors at the 2009 Country Fest: Proud of our Heritage Embracing the Future. Events this year will be held Monday, Thursday, and Friday evenings June 15th, 18th, and 19th beginning at 6:00 p.m., and all day Saturday, June 20, 2009.

This year's Country Fest is especially exciting because we are also celebrating South Jordan's 150th birthday. In a relative short period of time, we have emerged from a bedroom community to a progressive, beautiful City, full of excitement and vision for the future. Our greatest challenge in recent years has been our tremendous growth. However, along with the challenge's of growth comes new opportunities like the building of a new City Hall, Recreation Center, History Museum and the addition of other great assets to our City.

As always, the City's greatest asset continues to be our marvelous citizens. With all the new people who have come to make South Jordan their home or their place of business, we have not lost that hometown feeling, where people feel safe and comfortable as they raise their families.

South Jordan is a family friendly community and again I invite all of you to come out and celebrate the past 150 years and to come to Country Fest 2009 "Proud of our Heritage, Embracing the Future!"
