South Jordan University is a free civic education program for community minded citizens.
This 7 week course will introduce you to the ins and outs of South Jordan City Government. City officials and employees will explain the roles of various departments within the city and will give you the opportunity to experience, discuss, and voice your opinion about some of the tough decisions made everyday.
Topics covered will include:
- City Management & City Council
- Community & Development
- Safety & Emergency Services/Preparedness
- Budget & Finance
- City Council
- Citizen Services
- Public Works
Classes will be held at City Hall every Thursday at 6:30 p.m., beginning February 15th and concluding April 5th. Refreshments will be provided each week. Each participant who attends at least 5 of the 7 classes will receive a t-shirt, graduation certificate, and will be invited to a special South Jordan University Graduation Luncheon.
