Resident on Display – Ted Logan @ Gale Center of History & Culture
Apr 4 @ 8:00 am – Jun 2 @ 9:00 am

Ted Logan

As a young kid, Ted started drawing with pencil and could not stop. He continued his found passion and took many art classes in college, particularly with life drawings. Later in life, he had the opportunities to take an art class from an artist living in his neighborhood. She introduced him to other artists and quickly found himself painting in a studio with professional artists. Ted continued to paint and started displaying pieces in many galleries. Wanting to share his work and passion, Ted started painting commissioned work. He loves painting for friends and families and feels a personal connection to every painting he works on. Now retired, Ted even more time to continue his love for painting and explore more styles, he loves painting a variety of subjects, especially bands/musicians. Painting is always rewarding for him, especially when he sees others connect and relate to his work.

 Charles Larson

Why I Paint – “I paint what I love. Every morning I get up and look at the Wa-satch Mountains and give thanks. I love the sky, clouds, moun-tains, the rolling hills, trees, flowers, wide rivers, and small streams. I love people. I love what I paint. Artists try to paint the depth of feelings that speaks to the soul. As I move about in the world, I measure the landscapes to fit into the shape of a frame. I imagine the land-scape as a finished painting that might express both the visual beauty and the feelings of the heart and soul that move me to paint. Because at times, I feel that I have not achieved both goals, I feel that the painting is incomplete. Therefore, I am reluctant to show my work.”
