Don’t miss out on this spectacular winter event! Light the Night is one of our biggest and most popular events of the year. Enjoy the lights, the sites, sounds, and smell of warm cookies and hot chocolate.

Visit South Jordan City Hall and vote for your favorite gingerbread creations from November 29 to December 2. Winners will be announced on December 3, before the Light the Night event.

Be sure to send your letter to Santa at the North Pole through his mailbox located on the west side of City Hall. Letters to Santa can be dropped off at Light the Night, and anytime until December 10. If you include a return address, Santa will send a letter back!
Decorate your beard and participate in our Holiday Beard Contest! Participants go on stage for each category and are judged live. All entries must be family-friendly in nature. Pre-registration is not required.
Date / Time
This event takes place on December 3rd from 7:30 to 8 pm. Those who wish to participate should go to the stage by 7:25 pm

Natural Beard
- 1st place: $50 visa
- 2nd place: $25 visa
- 3rd place: $10 Flake
Faux Beard
- 1st place: $50 visa
- 2nd place: $25 visa
- 3rd place: $10 Flake
12 & under Faux Beard
