Volunteer Opportunities

There are numerous opportunities to volunteer with the City of South Jordan.

Gale Center of History & Culture

Looking for volunteer museum Docents for two hours a week. Your shift would be the same every week and you would be partnered with another volunteer. Training and new friends provided.

If interested, or for additional information, please call 801-446-4357 (HELP)

To volunteer at the Gale Center complete a Volunteer Application (PDF) and email it to Maren Svare.

Senior Programs

Volunteers are an integral part of the Senior Programs. Volunteers share their talents by teaching various classes, working as day directors in the front office and assisting with meals. If you are interested in participating as a volunteer, please contact email Jamie Culbertson or call 801-302-1222, or download the Volunteer Form (PDF).

Your Ideas for Volunteering

The City encourages individual, small, and larger group volunteer projects throughout the year. Scout projects and especially Eagle projects must be pre-approved before a scout may begin volunteering. The majority of volunteer opportunities occur during the warmer months. However, some cold weather projects may also be available depending on the need.

Please come to us with volunteering ideas, the City is not required to provide volunteering project ideas. Email the Info Center to be routed to the correct department associated with your volunteering project idea.

Volunteers may be required to submit a BCI before volunteering can begin.
