Museum Mashup: Dig a Dugout

Early pioneers across the West built simple homes called dugouts. Pick up a kit at the Gale Center to take home. Use the craft kit to build your own dugout and learn about how people used these homes in South Jordan. Visit the Gale Center’s dugout while you’re at the museum! 

Dig a Dugout is the Gale Center’s July Museum Mashup activity. Every month the Gale Center provides a free activity for families to pick up at the museum or download online. Activities are perfect for Pre-K and K-3 learners. Museum Mashup at the Gale Center is funded in part by a grant from Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts, & Parks. Thank you!
