SOUTH JORDAN, UT – June 2, 2022 --The City of South Jordan is hosting its annual summer festival, SoJo Summerfest, with events, food, shows, and free activities for all ages, starting with Family Night on Thursday, June 2 and ending with a parade, concert, and fireworks Saturday, June 4, 2022.
“SoJo Summerfest is an opportunity for us to come together as families and friends, to make memories, renew old relationships, and to create new ones,” said Mayor Dawn Ramsey. “Whether you were raised in the city, have recently moved in, or are just visiting, we hope you’ll enjoy the friendliness of the good people who live here and will come back and join us every year as we celebrate SoJo Summerfest.”
Some of the events new to SoJo Summerfest this year are the Butterfly Encounter, the SoJo Music Festival, and stunts by extreme pogo stick performers. The opportunity to experience and be surrounded by hundreds of live butterflies will definitely be a magical experience.
The all-new SoJo Music Festival is bringing in four amazing bands, providing music Friday and Saturday night. Two of the bands, Foreign Figures, and The Strike, will rock the stage Friday starting at 7:00 p.m. On Saturday night, Ammon & Liahona will start the festival at 7:00 p.m. and then a Beatles tribute band, 1964 The Tribute, will take the stage followed by a spectacular fireworks show at 10:00 p.m.
“We are grateful to have a forecast for great weather so we can come together,” said Natalie Domino, SoJo Summerfest Event Coordinator. “We have several returning, traditional events everyone loves, along with some fun new ones you won’t want to miss.”
