[ARCHIVED] Young Artist Helps Make South Jordan Beautiful Through Art

young artist paints colorful mural on wall with white lines separating different colors

South Jordan resident Lindsey Schmidt, a 14-year-old student at Early Light Academy, designed and painted a mural on the Jordan River Trail in our City. Lindsey has loved art since she was a young child and won her first art contest last year. She used that victory as an opportunity to gain confidence and learn and grow as an artist. Lindsey’s design appeals to all ages and fosters a sense of community. “Every color represents the different people in the community. We need everyone to make the piece look good,” she said. This piece is a part of the South Jordan Arts Council’s Trail Wall Mural project. Check out Lindsey’s mural and more on the Jordan River Trail under the bridge at 10600 South near Mulligans.
