I am thrilled to share with you some exciting updates on our city’s infrastructure progress. Our city is proud to have some of the best planning and engineering teams in the state. Thanks to their tireless work and that of our City Council, we have a lot of exciting projects on the horizon.
I am honored to have recently been appointed as the Chair of the Wasatch Regional Front Council for the next two years. This means that South Jordan will have a strong voice at the table when it comes to making important decisions about infrastructure projects in our area.
We have already made great strides in improving our infrastructure. For example, Bangerter Highway has been successfully built underneath both 11400 South and 10400 South, and we are now excited to move forward with the 9800 South and Bangerter Highway interchange in the same fashion. This project will significantly improve traffic flow and make it easier for everyone to get where they need to go.
Additionally, the funds have been approved for the Mountain View Corridor freeway starting in 2028 on the southern portion, which will include all of South Jordan’s exits. And in the next few years, we can expect to see another UTA Trax stop in our city.
As our city grows, infrastructure is a top priority for all of us. Be certain that I am working hard to ensure South Jordan’s needs are heard and addressed. While these projects may cause temporary inconvenience, we believe they are essential for the long-term viability of our city’s infrastructure. Thank you for your understanding and support as we work together to make these exciting improvements a reality.
