[ARCHIVED] Guide to Simplifying Utility Payments

he City of South Jordan provides a range of essential services for our residents, including water, secondary water, garbage services, and animal licensing. The City understands that for many residents, your most common interaction with the City is paying for these services. Our dedicated staff always strives to provide the best service possible during these transactions. That’s why the City wants to make sure you’re aware of all the options available to you.

Paperless Billing

One of the easiest ways to simplify the billing process is by signing up for paperless billing. By going paperless, you not only make things easier for yourself but also contribute to environmental conservation, reduce taxpayer spending on printing costs, and get your bill faster through email!

Auto pay

Another great option the City offers is auto pay. With South Jordan’s payment portal, you can set up regular payments directly from your bank or card. This ensures that your bills are always paid on time. If you choose to pay with e-check or debit, you have the flexibility to schedule fixed monthly payments, weekly payments, or payments on the bill’s due date. If you prefer to pay with a credit card, you also have the option to pay the full bill amount on a date of your choice.

Budget Billing

For customers who want a predictable monthly bill amount, budget billilng is a great option. This option is available to customers who have at least 12 months of billing history at their current address. With budget billing, you pay the same amount each month, which helps you anticipate and plan for your expenses. To make things even more convenient, combine budget billing with auto pay. Also, for those currently enrolled in budget billing, July is when we your monthly bill amounts are calculated, so keep an eye out for your new monthly amount!

These options can make your utility payment processes smoother, faster, and easier. If you’d like to learn more, simply scan the QR codes below. The City is here to assist you every step of the way, so if you have questions, don’t hesitate to call our helpline at 801-446-4357.
