Revitalizing Prospector Park

Prospector Park with Playground removed

Prospector Park has been facing ongoing issues due to vandalism disrupting its amenities. Damaged playground equipment, graffiti, and restroom closures have compelled us to take action. We acknowledge the concerns raised by residents, especially from the neighboring area, and share their frustration.

In response to the damage, we've collaborated with a reliable manufacturer to design a new play structure that will adhere to safety standards and elevate the park's recreational appeal. This decision aligns with our long-term enhancement plan, but we’re moving sooner than anticipated due to the ongoing issues.

To accommodate the transformation, the existing play structure has been removed as we await the arrival and installation of the new one by spring 2024. While we understand the inconvenience, this step is pivotal for ensuring a safer and more engaging playground experience.

The situation underscores the importance of community support during this transitional phase. As we confront these challenges, we're not just addressing immediate issues but paving the way for a renewed Prospector Park. Our shared dedication to this revitalization project will ultimately lead to a park that instills community pride and fun for years to come.
