Mayor's Corner: Civic Duty

Civic duty plays a vital role in maintaining a thriving community. One of the fundamental ways residents contribute to our community is by exercising their right to vote. Voting empowers individuals to have a say in the decision-making process, ensuring that their voices are heard on matters that affect their lives. When residents actively participate in elections, they contribute to shaping the direction of our community, influencing policies, and electing representatives who align with their values.

In our city, each vote represents a step toward unity and progress. When we come together at the ballot box, we affirm our commitment to a government that truly reflects our collective aspirations. Through voting, we cultivate an environment where all citizens have a stake in our shared success. Let us continue to engage, inform ourselves, and participate actively in our elections, as we celebrate the essence of civic duty that strengthens South Jordan City and our wonderful future.

Don’t forget that Election Day this year is on November 21. Visit vote.utah.gov for more information.
