SOUTH JORDAN, UT – September 19, 2023— The City of South Jordan, in collaboration with Ivory Innovations, has announced a transformative Senior Center and affordable housing project in South Jordan located at 3788 W 10200 S, South Jordan, UT, 84009.
"Our thriving senior community has been asking for a dedicated space for years. There has been high demand to support our seniors and expand our services, and this project allows us to do that," said South Jordan Mayor Dawn Ramsey.
This initiative addresses the needs of senior residents by introducing a dedicated 17,000-square-foot Senior Center and 138 senior housing units, including 104 affordable units.
The Senior Center, designed with invaluable input from seniors, will offer versatile spaces for activities, a well-equipped kitchen, and convenient parking facilities.
“Our City Council has long been dedicated to finding a project that makes our seniors' lives better,” Mayor Ramsey said. “This project aims to be a low-impact, low-traffic, high-value development that aligns South Jordan's commitment to addressing environmental concerns and enhancing the well-being of seniors.”
Community engagement and education is a priority with this project, so the City and Ivory Innovations are hosting an open house scheduled for September 27, 2023, from 6-8 p.m. at Fire Station 62, where residents can ask questions and provide feedback.
For more information, including Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), residents are encouraged to visit the project's webpage.
