The South Jordan Senior Advisory Committee is dedicated to helping promote the interests of older adults and their families in the community.
What it Means to Be on the Senior Advisory Committee
As a member of the South Jordan Senior Advisory Committee, you help the South Jordan Senior Programs division (1) provide a creative and informational environment where older adults can engage in social activities; and (2) support the fulfillment of older adult needs in the community by supporting programming that contributes to their health, safety, and well-being.
You would be expected to attend monthly meetings (in person or over zoom) that last approximately an hour and then work with other committee members for various events throughout the year. Time involved in events is flexible.
The committee is in need of 4-10 members currently.
How to Apply
To apply, you can fill out an application online or pick one up at the South Jordan Community Center and return it to Jamie Culbertson. If you are chosen, you will be invited to be interviewed by City Council in a study meeting. If Council approves, you then would be appointed in the next City Council meeting.
