Bradley G. Marlor MBA, CBI, served eight years on the South Jordan City Council from 2000 through 2007, four years on the South Jordan Planning Commission and three years on South Jordan City's Economic Development Committee. Prior to serving on the City Council, and Brad co-founded the South Jordan Chamber of Commerce. He has served an additional eight years on the City Council beginning in 2016 and will conclude his service at the end of 2023. He believes strongly that South Jordan's best years are ahead.
Brad is Principal Broker and owner of Utah Business Consultants, a business brokerage, valuation and exit planning company. Brad founded Utah Business Consultants in 1989. He is a former franchise owner with direct experience in buying and selling his own businesses. He is an Exit Planning Advisor — preparing business owners for the most important financial event of their lives. Brad has been published numerous times in local business periodicals and newspapers, including Utah Business Magazine, The Enterprise Newspaper, and the Deseret News.
Brad is a graduate of four colleges and universities with degrees in Accounting and Business Administration. He is a licensed Principal Real Estate Broker for the State of Utah. He has earned the Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation, with the International Business Broker's Association, and Merger and Acquisitions Master Intermediary (M&AMI) designation with the M&A Source.
Brad is married to Marianne Layton Marlor (42 years). Together they have three children who were raised in South Jordan and attended public schools here. Brad and Marianne now have two handsome grandsons (one more on the way) and two beautiful granddaughters. Brad has been active in serving the youth in the neighborhoods where he and his family have lived, including serving as Scoutmaster three times. He fulfilled an LDS Church mission to Geneva Switzerland from 1977 to 1979.
