Jason McGuire is grateful to be serving his second term as a South Jordan City Council Member, having taken office January 2, 2018. He currently serves as the city council liaison for the South Jordan City Arts Council and is a member of the Utah League of Cities and Towns Legislative Policy Committee. He also served on the steering committee for the South Jordan General Plan in 2018.
Jason is the Director of Operations of a steel fabrication company and former president of the Utah Steel Fabricators Association. He has over 20 years of experience in the steel fabrication industry with an emphasis in mining and industrial water filtration. With his years of experience in project management and contract negotiations, Jason prefers taking a "common sense" approach to issues and working towards the best outcome for all parties involved.
Jason was born and raised in the Salt Lake Valley and graduated from Cyprus High School and received his Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Utah.
Jason and his wife, Angela, are involved in various community activities, but their greatest achievement is being parents to their three children. Jason and Angela are grateful for the privilege they have to call South Jordan home.
