As part of its efforts to keep traffic moving on Bangerter Highway now and into the future, UDOT will build freeway-style
interchanges at 6200, 10400, and 12600 South. This is a continuation of UDOT’s multi-year effort to upgrade Bangerter
Highway and the east-west arterial roads in order to meet the traffic demands of western Salt Lake County.

Construction began in early May and is expected to be complete in October 2021. Similar to the interchange at 11400
South, UDOT will build an underpass of Bangerter Highway at 10400 South.

During construction of the underpass, UDOT will implement a six-month full closure for east-west traffic on 10400 South
and will restrict any movement for drivers traveling to opposite sides of Bangerter Highway. This closure is scheduled for
early 2021; advance notice will be given prior to any full closure as part of the project.

Throughout construction, residents, businesses, and drivers can expect the following:
• Construction activities 24/7
• Lane closures during off-peak hours
• Reduced speeds
• Changing traffic patterns
• Noise, dust, lights, vibration
