The City of South Jordan has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2019 honor by The Salt Lake Tribune. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools.
South Jordan City ranked 35 out of 100 midsized businesses to work for in Utah.
“We stop and listen to what people have to say, we respect people in their ability to do their work and I think people appreciate that more than anything,” said City Manager, Gary Whatcott.
The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.
“We care about our employees input, we care about their decision making and we allow employees to use their best judgement and to interact with whoever they need to in the City to accomplish their goals,” Gary Whatcott said.
