Project Status

Two public scoping meetings are planned for the middle of April. Please see the dates and locations to the right.

The planning team has started compiling existing conditions information, and has been working with the City and Y2 Analytics to develop a Community Needs and Preference Survey, which will be administered online as soon as the survey questions are finalized.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Colby Hill, South Jordan Associate Director of Public Works at 801-446-HELP, or Mark Vlasic, Landmark Design Principal-in-Charge at 801-474-3300 or sjordanparks@ldi-ut.com.

As one of the fastest growing communities in the region, an up-to-date and comprehensive Parks, Recreation, Community Arts, Trails and Open Space Master Plan is an essential tool for ensuring facilities keep pace with demand in the City. A similar plan was completed eight years ago, but no longer meets the needs of the changing community. It is therefore essential that the new plan captures the vision and needs of the existing community while providing policy guidance for allocating resources during the next 20 years and beyond. This requires a planning process that is both technically sound and engaging, incorporating a robust public involvement process and a defensible system for determining preferences. The City has hired Landmark Design to provide these planning services.
