South Jordan Arts Council Vision: To provide opportunities for individuals and families to experience the Arts through education, participation, public works, and performance!
Calling all South Jordan residents!! Missoula Children’s Theatre and the South Jordan Arts Council are hosting auditions for Gulliver’s Travels! The MCT team will hold a group audition on February 11 at 4:30 pm in the South Jordan Community Center. MCT will cast 50-60 local students to perform in the Gulliver’s Travels production. The show will be rehearsed throughout the week of February 11-16 and two public performances are presented at the end of the week on February 16 at 3:00 pm and 5:30 pm.
Who can participate? Kindergarten through 6th-grade students from the South Jordan community.
What is it? A FREE children’s theatre residency and performance brought to South Jordan by Missoula Children’s Theatre!
Where? Auditions, residency, and performance will be held at the South Jordan Community Center.
Does my child need any theatre experience? No, all levels are welcome to audition. However, only 50-60 students will be cast for the play.

**Weather Update**
Due to inclement weather the Harry Potter movie and event will be cancelled tonight. Stop by the South Jordan Fitness & Aquatics Center for a house sorting cupcake while supplies last.
Art is for everyone! Join us September 24 – October 3 for the 12th Annual South Jordan Art Show. The Gale Center (10300 S. Beckstead Lane) will house incredible artwork from talented artists from our very own South Jordan community. Both adult and youth residents are welcome to submit pieces. The show is free and open to the public during the Gale Center’s hours of operation. Awards will be given to winning artists at the Artists Reception on Monday, September 23 at 6:30 PM. Thank you in advance for your support of the arts!

Pieces can be dropped off at the Gale Center (10300 S. Beckstead Lane, South Jordan, UT) September 19 from 12 pm-5:30 pm and September 20 from 9 am to 12 pm.
Age Groups: Child (6 years – 9 years), Youth (10 years – 13 years), Teen (14 years – 17 years), Adult (18+), Professional (Artists that have ever been paid for their work)
