Enjoy a walk through the spectacularly spooky carved and painted pumpkins entered in our pumpkin carving contest and other decorations.
If you would like to enter the pumpkin carving/decorating contest you can pick up a pumpkin (for free) on a first come, first serve basis. You can also purchase a pumpkin (or pumpkins) of your own to enter. Here are the details on entering the contest:
Pumpkin carving/decorating contest will be awarded prizes in the following categories:
Prizes include gift cards up to $100. All designs must be family friendly in design and execution. Contact Natalie Domino with questions about the contest or the event. We hope to see you there!

Cities from around Salt Lake County are teaming up to bring you a Holiday Lights Tour like never before! Visit homes from South Jordan, Bluffdale, Herriman, Midvale, Millcreek, South Salt Lake, and West Jordan! Registration begins on Monday, November 23rd and will remain open until December 21st. Register early for a better chance to win the People’s Choice Award!

At this year’s virtual Light the Night event stop by our drive through pick up and receive a holiday activity kit full of fun and exciting things to do with your family including the Light the Night activity booklet. On your way to pick up your activity kit say hello to Santa, Mrs. Claus and friends as you drive through. Once you have received your kit visit Towne Center Drive anytime November 30 – December 4 and enjoy the holiday lights, Candy Window displays and complete the fun games in the Light the Night activity booklet.

Light the Night Goosechase Scavenger Hunt

Using the GooseChase app, we will give you clues and challenges to help make your spirits bright throughout the week! Join as an individual or with a team in this friendly holiday competition. Prizes will be randomly awarded to participants. Download the app here and then search for “SoJo Light the Night” to participate for your chance to win a prize.
Candy Windows

Make the holidays in South Jordan a family tradition with our incredible Candy Window Displays! Displays are located in City Hall and the businesses along Towne Center Drive. To view a list of specific locations, visit www.sjc.utah.gov/event/2020-candy-windows.
Gingerbread House Contest
December 1-10 • 1600 West Towne Center Drive
Visit South Jordan City Hall and vote for your favorite gingerbread creation. The gingerbread houses will be on display in City Hall from December 1 – December 10, with voting open December 1-4. For City Hall hours and more information, visit www.sjc.utah.gov/event/2020-gingerbread-house-contest.
SoJo Gnome Hunt
November 30 – December 6 • Towne Center Drive
Visit the businesses on Towne Center Drive and look for our sneaky SoJo Gnomes. Once you’ve found them all, bring your hunt card to the Gale Center by December 11 and get your official 2020 Light the Night pin! Prize pick up is available M-F from 10am-5pm, while supplies last.
Dial an Elf
November 30 – December 6
Pre-register for a time to have Jingles the Elf call you. Tell Jingles what you would like for Christmas and if you belong on the nice or naughty list. Register at register.sjc.utah.gov.
Letters to Santa
November 30 – December 6 • 1600 West Towne Center Drive
Be sure to send your letter to Santa at the North Pole through his mailbox located on the west side of City Hall. Drop them off by December 6 in order to receive a reply before Santa gets busy with his annual preparations!
Make Candy Windows a holiday tradition! Join South Jordan City for our Virtual Light the Night event to kick off the most wonderful time of year! Take a stroll down Towne Center Drive and enjoy the incredible Candy Window displays. The Candy Window exhibits will be displayed in storefront windows on December 1st – December 31st.
