Paint a Pebble
February 1-28
This month, learn how to dot paint a pebble to share with your friends. Painting instructions, painting ideas, and Valentine’s card templates will be free and available throughout February on the Gale Center’s webpage.
If you have paint and rocks available at home, we encourage you to use your own! There are a limited number of free supplies available at the Gale Center, while supplies last.

Valentine’s Day Card Printing Instructions
To print your Valentine’s Day cards, download the PDF file. There are two postcard size cards in each file. To save paper, change your printer settings to print 2×1 so both cards print on the same page! Add a personal message and deliver to your Valentine!

Have you ever wanted to learn how to play the guitar? This 8-week group course is created for beginners ages 15 years old and up. Only 10 slots available, register at register.sjc.utah.gov!

Date: Every Tuesday, March 9, 16, 23, 30 & April 6, 13, 20, 27
Time: 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: Gale Center Auditorium (10300 S. Beckstead Lane, South Jordan, Utah 84095)
Total Cost: $150 (8 classes/$18.75 per class)
Instructor: Jacob Lambros
Required Supplies: Guitar, strap, picks, and a tuner.

Nature Walk

Celebrate the earth all month long with the Gale Center’s April activity, Nature Walk. Nature Walk is a free download with Backyard Bingo, spring coloring sheets, and word searches. They are available throughout April.

SoJo Story Walks is an interactive story experience where participants can walk along the Jordan River Trail while reading page displays from popular children’s books. Participants can submit photos with their favorite pages and send them in for a chance to win prizes.
The fun begins at 947 W. Shields Lane, 4500 W. Skye Drive and 2400 Royal Heights Drive.

Art Class with Nancy is a monthly, creativity-based, four class, art course for boys and girls ages 2nd-6th grade. Each month focuses on a new project. For more information please visit www.artclasswithnancy.com

APRIL CLASSES: Self Portraits – April 14, 21, 28
Please see www.artclasswithnancy.com for details. Class Schedule: Day 1: Draw, Day 2: Paint, Day 3: Draw, Day 4: Paint **There are no makeup classes so students must attend all classes to keep up with the schedule**
Important: To ensure safety during COVID parents are asked to supply their child with – a set of Colored pencils, a set of Colored Markers, and an 8 count Water Color Paint Set. The instructor will provide – Hand Sanitizer, Cleaning Supplies, Water Bowls, Paper Towels, Paint Brushes, and Instruction. TUITION REDUCED to $30.00 to compensate.
New COVID-19 guidelines will be followed. If your child is sick, please keep them home. A full refund will be issued without question. Follow proper hygiene guidelines – soap or hand sanitizer will be provided in the classroom. Parents must stay in the car and students are required to wear a mask during the entire class. Students will have their own desk that is spaced 6ft from other students.
SPRING CLEANUP:
Dates and Time: Every Tuesday and Thursday during the month of May from 7:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. In addition to those dates, we will also be including two Saturdays which will be Saturday, May 15th and Saturday, May 22nd from 7:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.
Location: 10960 S Park Road (1800 W). Next to the Animal Shelter.
We CANNOT accept any of the following materials –
E-Waste WILL be accepted.
*Unloading will be unassisted by staff with this free service. No drop-offs will be allowed after 3:00 P.M.
SHRED EVENT (Free confidential document shredding):
Date and Time: Saturday, May 22nd from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.

**These services will only be available to South Jordan Residents. Proof of residency is required.**
