Representatives from City Departments will be sharing a variety of Volunteer Opportunities within South Jordan City. Many of those opportunities are with Special Events, including Sights & Sounds of Summer, Tour of Utah and SoJo Marathon!

Why I Paint – “I paint what I love. Every morning I get up and look at the Wa-satch Mountains and give thanks. I love the sky, clouds, moun-tains, the rolling hills, trees, flowers, wide rivers, and small streams. I love people. I love what I paint. Artists try to paint the depth of feelings that speaks to the soul. As I move about in the world, I measure the landscapes to fit into the shape of a frame. I imagine the land-scape as a finished painting that might express both the visual beauty and the feelings of the heart and soul that move me to paint. Because at times, I feel that I have not achieved both goals, I feel that the painting is incomplete. Therefore, I am reluctant to show my work.”
