2019 Art Show @ Gale Center of History and Culture

Art is for everyone! Join us September 24 – October 3 for the 12th Annual South Jordan Art Show. The Gale Center (10300 S. Beckstead Lane) will house incredible artwork from talented artists from our very own South Jordan community. Both adult and youth residents are welcome to submit pieces. The show is free and open to the public during the Gale Center’s hours of operation. Awards will be given to winning artists at the Artists Reception on Monday, September 23 at 6:30 PM. Thank you in advance for your support of the arts!

If you are interested in displaying your artwork in the show or have any questions, please contact Haley Greene at sojoarts@sjc.utah.gov.

Artists must be South Jordan residents.
Each artist can submit up to 2 pieces of original artwork, those pieces should be no older than three years old and not shown previously in the South Jordan Art Show.
The Categories include: Traditional Mediums (Drawing, Watercolor, Oil, and Digital), Photography, 3D (Sculpture, Ceramic, and Pottery). 3D category for Adults and Professionals only.
Any hanging art must be securely wired to hang.
Participant’s name, address, phone number, and email must be provided on the back of all photo entries.
All artists must sign an Artwork Loan Agreement before their artwork will be accepted.
Artwork will be displayed at the Gale Center through the entire duration of the show.

Pieces can be dropped off at the Gale Center (10300 S. Beckstead Lane, South Jordan, UT) September 19 from 12 pm-5:30 pm and September 20 from 9 am to 12 pm.

Age Groups: Child (6 years – 9 years), Youth (10 years – 13 years), Teen (14 years – 17 years), Adult (18+), Professional (Artists that have ever been paid for their work)

SoJo Virtual Race Series 2020 @ Various Locations

Stay Connected and join us for our 2020 SoJo Virtual Race Series! As we all are doing our part to keep ourselves and those around us healthy by staying apart, we need to find ways to stay connected. This virtual race series is our way to maintain the connection with our race community and to maintain our mental and physical health. Use the hashtags #sojostayconnected and #sojovirtualraces when posting to social media.

HOW IT WORKS

Register for the virtual race series by clicking the “register now” button below.
When you register, you can choose to pay $15 to get a virtual race series medal and shirt OR you can simply select “No Thank You,” and you’ll still get weekly emails about new routes.
You will be notified of a new route every Monday and some races will offer different distance options, including bike routes!
Share that you’ve registered using the hashtags #sojostayconnected and #sojovirtualraces.
You have ONE WEEK to complete the course. Then after each race, submit your race time (with an app screen capture for proof), pictures and/or a video of you running by the following Sunday at noon. For each item you enter, you get an additional entry to win race swag and prizes! Submit those times, images, and videos in the form below.

SoJo Virtual Soccer @ At Home

SoJo Virtual Soccer gives participants a chance to brush up on their soccer technique while learning new skills, all from their own home. Each week we will put up a new video highlighting a new drill to work on followed by a challenge. Use the week to practice the new skill and work on perfecting the challenge. Video or take a picture of yourself and family completing the challenge and send them in for a chance to win some cool prizes from RSL, Real Monarchs and the SoJo Soccer League.

To help us #StayConnected during SoJo Virtual Soccer and to highlight our participants, please submit photos and videos of you completing the challenges. We will share them in videos on our social media. All those that submit photos and videos will be entered for prizes. **Please note that your photos and videos will be used for marketing purposes and may be shared with the media along with your name.
