Art is for everyone! Join us September 24 – October 3 for the 12th Annual South Jordan Art Show. The Gale Center (10300 S. Beckstead Lane) will house incredible artwork from talented artists from our very own South Jordan community. Both adult and youth residents are welcome to submit pieces. The show is free and open to the public during the Gale Center’s hours of operation. Awards will be given to winning artists at the Artists Reception on Monday, September 23 at 6:30 PM. Send in videos and photos of your pets to compete in our first ever Best in SoJo Pet Show. Enter between May 28th and 5:00 pm on June 3rd. Watch our Best in SoJo Pet Show, hosted by Mayor Dawn Ramsey and Mrs. Utah 2020 on Saturday, June 6th at 9:00 am for the winners.
Join us on an epic quest to uncover the unique history of South Jordan. Using the GooseChase app, we’ll give you clues that will take you throughout South Jordan. Prizes will be given to randomly selected participants each day.
Players will play nine holes on either the par 3 course or the executive course during the week of Summerfest. To participate players must call ahead and book a prepaid tee time. Tee times are booked the day of the only by calling 801-254-3377.
USGA rules apply except for the process of holing out. Following Covid-19 adjustments a players ball is considered holed out when the ball hits the raised cup. At the conclusion of the round a picture of the scorecard will be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include first and last names and divisions for all players on the scorecard.
The following divisions and top three scores in each division for each course will win a prize:
Senior (over 60)
Kids (under 12)
Players scores will be updated daily on the leaderboard on the north side of the pro shop. Players can play as many times as they would like, but holes must be played in order. At the conclusion of the round scorecards must be signed and attested. The rules committee may use discretion to verify scores.
Download our SoJo Summerfest Selfie Bingo Card and send in your selfies of you and your family completing each item to get a bingo. Prizes will be handed out to randomly chosen participants.
Connect with our spectacular local craft vendors at our Virtual SoJo Summerfest Craft Market. Vendors will offer discounts to their online stores during Summerfest.
This event is for both artists and residents. Once the art is complete, residents can stroll past the beautiful displays starting on June 3rd.
For artists, Chalk Art Contest supplies can be picked up on Monday, June 1 and June 2 at the South Jordan Community Center, 10778 S. Redwood Rd. South Jordan, Utah 84095.
Contest Rules & Regulations
1. Registration will only be accepted online at register.sjc.utah.gov.
2. $20 registration is due on or before May 15, 2020, 4:00 p.m.
Registration after May 15, 2020 is $20 and a t-shirt is NOT guaranteed.
3. The registration fee provides each team/individual: 1 tote, 1 t-shirt, and 1 box of thin chalk.
-The surface is more bumpy and rough than average sidewalk concrete – we strongly encourage you to bring extra chalk with you if possible.
-Additional chalk may be available upon request, while supplies last, but is not guaranteed. Square Size: Adults – 6ft x 6ft and Youth – 5ft x 5ft
-Adult (18+), Teen (13-17), and Child (12 & under)
-Teams will be assigned an age category based on the oldest team member. Teams can ONLY consist of two people who live in the same household.
5. South Jordan City Staff reserve the right to disqualify any artwork that is deemed inappropriate.
6. If the artwork is not your own idea, please give credit to the original source.
7. Photos of the artwork will be taken and may be used for advertising and voting purposes.
-All chalk art will be judged on Wednesday, June 3, regardless of completion.
-Use your time and space wisely. All decisions of the judges are final.
-Chalk art will be judged on Originality, Creativity, and Overall Artistic Impression.
9. Awards: Announced on the City of South Jordan Facebook page on Friday, June 5.

Come pick up a box of fun activities for you and your family. Each box is designed for a family of 5, families of 6 or more can pick up two boxes.
Proof of South Jordan City residency is required to receive a box.
Boxes will be offered to South Jordan Residents on Monday June 1 and any remaining will be offered for pickup to non-residents on Tuesday June 2.
